I keep on looking at this. I suppose it is hard to believe. Firstly, an 8 day set. Then, identically-shaped scales of all different natural materials. 8 different shapes, grinds, spine treatments, tangs, in Damascus, indeed. Then, the impeccable box.
All is hand-made. An absolute masterpiece, in my eye.
A wonderful set from an extremely talented person.
Kudos, Robert!

Thanked: 4207^^Could not say it better^^
A truly amazing, eclectic, and still totally flowing set.
And, personally I dig the beauty of it advancing a day a week meaning that this one set could provide a constantly rotating different shave feel each day of the week.
A set like this could be the one set to last a lifetime.
Gorgeous work sir.

Thanked: 4207Even as it dawned on me I knew i was going down a rabbit hole Tom.
I need to figure a way to build one one day as well.
Opened up this thread on the big screen and Robert, big props for that case as well. Great grain, and fantastic tongue work on the corners. A fitting case for such a precious set."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

That is an awesome set Robert. I personally prefer smiling blades, but I really dig the spinework. That level of filework is something to aspire to!

That is an amazing set. The case is gorgeous too. Just think of the legacy: that set being handed down for generations to come...
