KeenKutter was about the only Manufacturer I have spotted in this country that used a lot of MOP. I do have a Swede in it also. Finding the scales has been a long mileage and luck type endeavor. Haven't seen any in a hundred mile radius of home since about 2010 except once on the 'bay for about $ 170 when I decided not to watch anymore and cried!

    Thanks, Richard!
Your blades look quite nice. If mine had been such, I would have never unpinned it and risked the pearl.
The tang had rusted so badly that the stamps were almost gone. took a while to get the rust off of the scales.
I never would have thought a solid MOP KeenKutter existed until I saw your lovely set a while ago.

Thanks Cobbling is what I seem to do. Nowhere near that kind of dough here, thank goodness!

I have the same Iwasaki and I can say what an amazing shaver it is. Mine has the original scales which look cheap and pales in comparison to yours.
Yes, funny how such highly regarded blades come in such cheap scales at times. Good to know you like it!

Excellent combination of razor and scale material Tom. I think the remarks about mother of pearl are spot on with a beautiful Japanese blade such as yours.

HA! At least you have a dog! I was huckstered and told this snorting, drooling, snoring, farting, grunting piglet was actually an English Bulldog. As you can see, in spite of the fact that she has no less than 10 chew toys visible in these pictures, she has chosen to go upstairs, empty the wife's laundry on the floor, and drag the basket downstairs to further it's complete destruction. She hates laundry baskets, which must all be destroyed on sight. This is number 3 in three weeks.

She also hates curbside garbage bins, helicopters, little girls in small self propelled Barbie jeeps (pants shitingly terrifying, these), and expensive shoes. Likes include ALL THE FOOD, sprinting for fifteen feet followed by four hour naps, goose shit, dried up earthworms, barking at leaves and twigs in the yard in menacing fashion, and farting then moving across the room.

    Ha, brilliant! She's a beauty!
Yep, all sounds quite normal for a Bulldog! staffies are cut from the same cloth and mine is alarmingly similar. Except for the goose poo. My boy relishes a nice cat poo. Wouldn't have them any other way.
