Cool Wostenholm & Son IXL Big Blade...Circa late 1800'S:

Just finished this really nice Geo. Wostenholm & Son for a friend. Got rid of the excessive and uneven hone wear, fixed the bevel and corrected the 'nose' point of the toe. Decided to go with a 'high mirror polish' on the whole blade this time out. It just seemed to fit the blade. Not much else to say about this one...except that, typically, it's a Sheffield. Great Steel! Finish honed on a La Dressant Coticule, stropped on lead and then 400 progressive laps on leather. It's a hell of a shaver!

    Hope you like it...

Very nice indeed. I have one and it shaves like a dream. In fact I used it this morning.

Thanks Hirlau and Harold! I've been using a computer cleaning pen after polishing and it really seems to help a lot.
