    Thank you for the compliment. And I do understand your point. I too like restoring razors to original condition . But there are those times when you get a request such as these. The original scales were kept for the future so they could be put back together again.
    But razors are in some ways like cars. Guys want to personalize them. And as with cars there was always a debate as to restore it to original condition or build a hot rod.
    Hmmm. I kinda like both for different reasons.

    Ok Mark, just to address the car thing...I like restorations that are original. To me hotrods are grotesque. Having said that, I can admire the skills of the builders but not the output. I feel the same about motorcycles. So maybe it is not surprising that I feel the way I do about razor restorations.
