Thanks everyone I have 3 more razors to finish out and scale today then I will hone them all,I can't wait to see how this one shaves. As I said lots of firsts on this one and shaving with a smiling near wedge will be one of them. For those that don't know I'm a long time knife maker and have dreamed of making razors since I was a boy.I started my quest to make my dream a reality in December.I made about a dozen practice blades just to get my tools and my technique dialed in .I've got a handful of 5/8 and 6/8 blades done and now this one.I have a lot of folks to thank the folks on the forum for there generosity with knowledge and especially Charlie Lewis for inspiring me to do this and for helping me with wheel selection. That may seem like a small thing but it's not.It wasn't that long ago that bladesmiths revealed nothing .Thanks to this community for everything and thanks to God for without him I am nothing.Paul

Honed it up using Charlie Lewis's method and it gave a fantastic shave this evening.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
