    When I first looked at the pics, before reading anything, I thought I was looking at two different razors. I said to myself, 'they both look really good but I prefer the top one.' The way the steel looks in the shank area of the before pic...my ideal for vintage. That said, sweet work all around, particularly the scales, beautiful.

    Nice work. Did you lose some of the width? Maybe it's the camera angle but the original appears to have more of a smile and looks wider as well.

    No nothing was lost. I used a lower camera angle for the finished pictures because there was so much reflection from the blade. The blade had seen little use with almost no hone wear. Taking pictures of a crocus finish is something I have not mastered yet.
