Beautiful - love them both, I have the exact same Elliot - the whole mystical Silver Steel....beautiful job.
Wondering where the heck you've been, hope things are on the mend, best wishes always....
And that French Frame backed razor...love it, and knowing the edge you and I'm positive 10Pups could put on those blades...very stellar job indeed.

Thanks! It was a fun project...
Thanks Andrew! It's good to be on the mend and good to hear from you my friend. I thought you had an Elliott just like this one. This one was pretty rough when it came to me but it turned out OK...and it will be a real nice shaver. The edge is stellar. We just finished the honing together today and I brought 'em home to give them both a little 'stropping magic' before they get sent on their way.
Hey Chev! Thanks...I'm sure Pups will pop in here sooner of later. It was a fun thing to do with Pups and he did an outstanding job on the scalesLupus Cohors - Appellant Mors !

Were you able to remove the blade from the frameback for restoration? Nice work on both blades.

Hey Karl! Thanks my friend for the 'thumbs up'. Yes as to removing the blade. It was pretty well rusted tight, BUT although the screw was missing it is a removable blade so it came out OK. Luckily I had a screw from another 'junk' frame-back that worked perfectly as a replacement. I used a very thin and very small knife edge wheel that was impregnated with a grit compound that cleaned out the groove that the blade fits in. Worked quite well!
