Instanter Patent-Tempered restored
I just finished restoring this old Instanter Patent-Tempered. I used horn scales, brass wedge, homemade brass dome collars and nickel silver pins. This has been a bit of a "back burner" project for me for a while but I recently found some horn I liked for the scales and I went ahead and finished 'er up. Thanks for looking...

Beautiful restore, bet that steel is very similar in feel to an old George Britain razor, which is superb vintage steel IMO.
Awesome...RAD pinging loud and clear on that one for me....:-)

I love the horn scales and the finish you did on the blade. What really intrigues me though are the hand made domed collars.
Talk about attention to detail!

Thanks, yes the collars are made from brass tubing hammered into domes in a jig. If anyone is interested, there are pictures and descriptions of what I use to make them in post #15 in this thread http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...-progress.html
