Well TC, I can't seem to get a break when I look for razors in antique shops or on the bay. I'm getting pretty selective in what I will allow into my collection. The only thing that seems to peak my interest nowadays are custom builts. So what's happening is that I am buying way less razors, but spending way more money. I guess it balances out...I hope!

that's me I don't have many vintage or production razors, up until I was gifted a razor recently by Phrank(Andrew) I was down to only 3, but I have 12 customs. and I have several Brunos. I hear ya, I only spend when its something I want, not to just grow my collection not to mention if I want a particular razor style or name I can have it reproduced with some minor changes to call it my own. enjoy it he really does fine work Tc

When this is done, we'll talk about a razor in Alfred Pendray wootz. With narwhale scales or mammoth tusk ivory with red rubies or blue saphires set in gold, inlaid in the ivory.

Today I Cleaned up the blank, thinned it down to 7 mm, cut / ground out the circumference. I'm going to pre-drill the hole where the gems will be placed and then I will start hollow grinding. Which reminds me: it's time to order the gems.
