Fantastic looking scales and grain pattern.
Do you know what kind of wood that is?

Thanked: 1Thanks I believe it's mesquite. We found it at my wife's grandparents after they passed away no telling how old that log was. Could be as old as the razor.

Thanked: 1Thanks everyone y'alls comments make me want to start another. The squared off block of wood in the photo is for a box for that razor, but it has some cracks in it. I'm gonna do a turquoise inlay to the cracks should turn out real nice.

Thanked: 2284Looks fantastic! If I'd have to guess, I'd say it's Desert Ironwood.
