    Thanks I believe it's mesquite. We found it at my wife's grandparents after they passed away no telling how old that log was. Could be as old as the razor.

    It looks like mesquite. Great grain pattern.

    Thanks everyone y'alls comments make me want to start another. The squared off block of wood in the photo is for a box for that razor, but it has some cracks in it. I'm gonna do a turquoise inlay to the cracks should turn out real nice.

    Looks fantastic! If I'd have to guess, I'd say it's Desert Ironwood.
