Thanked: 13245DD Grim Reaper Rebuild
Thuya Burl CA finish with .030" G10 liners overall thickness 110"
So much work goes into these full re-builds

I love the burl with this razor. A whole new look, and very nicely done.

Did you make these end cap accents (unsure of the correct word, bolsters?) or did you manage to save them?

Thanked: 13245
It is a process that Dan aka Floppyshoes (One of yer countrymen) and I came up with many years back, if you search Reaper restores and our two S/N's you will find an old thread about how we did them orginally..
I also show how to remove the inlays on my YouTube channel
Little has changed in the process, I would like to think I have improved on the execution hehehe
To answer your direct question, the old scales are torn down and I rebuild from scratch
here is a couple of pics from this teardown
Pro Tip:
See that stupid baord with the two pins in the second pic ??? that dumb jig REALLY helpes during the rebuild to line up the inlay and bolster transfersLast edited by gssixgun; 10-23-2017 at 11:52 PM.
