James Barlow ECHO restoration
Here's a James Barlow ECHO I just finished up. New scales made from horn, brass collars (from Austin), brass pins and a lead wedge. It measures 15/16 at the widest and the spine is 1/4 inch thick. It was a pretty straight forward restoration, I went with a mirror-like finish as that's what it looks like was originally on the blade. Plus, I like shiny things as much as the next guy
The tang stamp is pretty light near the center so I was cautious with the clean up there. This is the second set of scales I made for it because I was being picky about the first set I made. Just off the hones and I think it's going to be a nice shave in the morning. Thanks for looking!
