Default W&B back from "Death by Honing"

Having a bit of fun in the shop today

I went out there to just polish out the "Expert Honing" on this W&B on the buffers. My thinking to just slap some layers of tape on after and get it shaving for Marty so he could at least shave with it.. (NOT his honing)
I just couldn't do it, and I was having fun..

Popped an 80 grit belt on the 2x72 and started grinding away..
    Stopped grinding at 600 grit
Went to the buffers at 600 polished it a bit, then some SS compound to soften it all and blend it..

Nice new pretty darn even bevel set on the Chosera 1k heading to the 5k 10k and finally a Select Coticule after lunch

I think the burned thumb tips were worth it

ps: Gracie the Grouse came over to hang out while I was smoking a cigar on the porch

(For those that haven't ever seen her, she is a wild grouse that adopted me almost 3 years ago, she follows me all over when I go outside)

That's a beautiful job on that razor, very nice. The grouse is awesome that it follows you around! She's got great coloring, blends right in, nice picture.

Great repair Glen. I don't think I've ever seen a bevel that bad before.

    Nice regrind, Glen!
I would so be afraid of accidentally stepping on Gracie. As Tuzi noted, she blends right in!
That is a novel pet. A grouse!
    Birds of a feather, Glen?

I don't think I've seen your regrind work before (or didn't realize it). That is beautiful.

Haven't seen Gracie before! Nice pet. Definitely low maintenance.
