Thanked: 557I think it would be very interesting to have a series of short videos that take the viewers through all the steps you go through when you create a work like the razor you showed us. I’m sure there would be forum members interested in each of the steps even if they were not able to engage some of them. For example, I know I would never attempt to replicate smelting the iron, but I’d love to see you do it and explain what is going on, but I would be forever grateful to learn how to make scales and adorn them the way you have.

Thanked: 3795Nope. If it was a joke, I didn't get it either.
Charlie makes excellent videos and razors. Tim, I know that you already know how to make razors, but you might want to watch a few of Charlie's videos. In my opinion they are very well done and they might help you make better videos.

I love watching craftsmen draw their ideas out before engaging in the work. It’s never really the same when it’s done - but capturing that initial spark and then seeing the end result always sees me hang on through a video.

Certainly Charlie Lewis is great at that.
He states that "the blade is not working so it goes in the bucket'.
(Something like that!)
He cannot be pissed....Just goes and gets what he wants.
I could be wrong?Last edited by sharptonn; 05-11-2018 at 04:34 AM.
