I like it! Graceful curves and sharp lines to the spine, tang, and tail.
Also, it's admirable how you rolled with the criticism in a constructive way. I would have been a bit angry and started planning the demise of all those involved! Lol

Looks much nicer.
If I may, something lots of customs-makers do is use thick spacers (sometimes nylon) between the scales and tang at the pivot.
I much prefer thin brass spacers there. It further streamlines the tang-to-scale when stropping and honing.
