That stinks. I know that feeling all too well. I work with tiny parts, many springloaded and if you don't see which way it went then it is often gone forever. Sometimes even if you do see which way it went retrieving it can be near impossible. At least in my case I often have a replacement part. I hate it for you.

Thanks Paul, Onward and upward. In any event I'll finish it off and post a few pics when I'm done.
    Cheers mate! Stay healthy!

There are inter-dimensional rifts around workspaces that small parts are drawn to.

That's where the gremlins live. They jump out and steal all those little pieces we drop. They most enjoy my tools at work. I set it down...it disappears. Then I find it somewhere else.

Mike, now see? You have provided proof positive that I'm not insane or loosing my mind. I should see if my wife would read this but I'm sure she wouldn't. Dam if my glasses don't do the exact same thing. They get up at night and move around. Sometimes they even scoop my wallet and my car keys the little rat bastards. I keep insisting that they do move around and my wife keeps insisting that it's age and also something to do with my memory circuits in my cerebral cortex. I don't even know what that is but it sounds really bad.
What are we talking about again?

I drop little electronic parts often. I told the wife i was going to put tile in my room but she likes the carpet. That carpet is costing me money. Lol.

Well I finished this particular restoration project with the Packwood. In the last picture you can see a couple of flaws in the faux horn. I didn't notice them until I had cut the scale blanks on the bandsaw. If I had, I might have been able to avoid at least the flaw on the toe. It took some maneuvering to hone. In the picture of the wedge that isn't a flaw in the wedge: it's a shadow.
