Congratulations Roy!
I know for a fact that you worked tirelessly on that blade in Texas.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Glen, you helped take it to the next level. Awesome!
You both should be very proud.

My friend, you never cease to amaze me! Those scales look fabulous and I can't wait to give the completed project a shave.
While I had buffed the razor before sending it to Glen he re-buffed and even from just the pictures I can see that the blade looks 100% better.
Once it lands here, I might even see if I can get some decent pictures here at the Boars Nest for a Shave Of The Day.
I would like to give proper credit to the supplier of the solid brass beehive washers--they came from the gentleman in Romania, he machines out of his garage. He is 'sr_manufacture' at EBay.Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Thanks Pete. I'll be quite honest here, if it wasn't for the more advanced guys in attendance that razor would still be a chunk of steel leaning against the wall OR a piece of scrap.
I asked for help with making a razor in a (6/8-7/8 size) and that due to my dominate shoulder not liking a lot of abuse these days I didn't want to do too much pounding. So a bar of I believe 1095 was selected and using Charlie's stationary band saw it was cut to length, then marked where I needed to start working.
During the process so many helped with my questions and offering advice. Really there are too many to try to mention as I'm sure I'd miss someone and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
For all of the guys at the meet; My sincere thanks for making not only my first hand forged razor a possibility but for making me feel welcome and part of the group. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Beautiful team effort, Glenn and Roy! I like the blade design, and really love that scale material, wedge, collars, and just the whole design aesthetic. Enjoy that razor, Roy-we will expect your SOTD soon!
(And I just ordered some more mock-up bolts and collars from our Romanian supplier). There are many roads to sharp.
