    Default Puma Scale Replacement

So I got this Puma from a member to replace the back scale which was broken. Both scales were warped. Anyway, I made the back scale out of linen micarta (requested) since I didn't have a fitting plastic replacement. This caused a problem though since the front scale was still warped and the blade would close way off center. I didn't want to mess around with trying to flatten it or mess around with a bunch of other tricks so the member just decided to go ahead and replace both scales. He likes the traditional look. Anyway, here they are. They are pretty close to the EXACT size of the originals. They are only off by a hundreth of an inch at most I think in terms of width of the original scales going up and down the scale. Yes, the wedge is tapered although oddly enough, the original was not. I have come to believe that the original non-tapered wedge along with the third pin and all caused the scales to warp. Anyway, comments/constructive criticism welcome!

Nice clean work Alex. And yes, a spacer should always be tapered or opening the blade can cause the scales to crack and twist.

    Mighty nice Alex, mighty nice.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
