Thanked: 4New razors...YES
Hi all
Oh, looong time away....sorry
But, now I just got some razor´s back from C utz.
I did not see the razor´s before they was send off, only from a photo of the seller. And, from what C utz told me, they( 3 razor set) needed alot of work. But, now they look good.
The 3 razor set is made by M Hall c1810. The handle is ivory, very nie. Blades are wedge and shorter than seen on more modern razor´s. ( like the next set) The set are in the original wooden box, silk lined. Nice looking and yes a good shaver to
C utz sad that the steel in these blades where, , soft..or..hard to say. But, I did talk to the seller and he sad that razor´s backthen did not have the steel thay had only 30-40 years later.
So, they may not hold the edge that long...but, it ok for me. Just need to hone and strop more often.
So to the next set, it is a 2 razor set. Matching pair.
They come in a leather case, original with silk lining. The blades are engraved with a boudicca, same also on the silk in the case.
Razor´s are made by John Heiffor, Sheffield 1855.
The razor´s turned out good
I do not know so much, nothing, about these two makers, some do?
But, to me it is some nice razor´s, to lookat and to shave with. Regarding the steel in the M Hall razor, I will come back with some information on how it hold a egde.
Sorry about the quality on my photo´s, thay really do not show the good job done by C utz!! Sorry C utz!
I will try and take some better and come back with them
Thanks for looking

Hey Vegard!
For just a buff and hone they came out rather well (despite the photo's ).
One thing that I noticed with the razors, that was impressive was that the thin ivory scales (on both sets) was perfectly intact! No chips or cracks. Especially on that older set (although some feel the cracks at the bottom pin is due to the razor being closed too tightly between the scales, and the 3day set does not accomodate closing the blade in that way. Never the less, old razors, thin ivory, often times spells cracked scales....)
Anyway, I hope they work out well......

Lovely razors. Thanks for posting them.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
