    Very nice king cutter... but i do not believe it is stainless.. i think they were all carbon steel ... the extra honing most likely was getting rid of slightly oxidizes steel and into the good stuff ...should be a great shaver

    I got my micarta from a knife making supplier here in Alberta. Ranger Original Handcrafted Knives :: OnLine Store

    I spoke with them on the phone and they were nice enough to offer to sell me a slab of micarta that is 6 inches long, instead of the usual 5" (knife scales) or 12" (sheet) sizes.
