    Default scruffy

I finally completed a razor using only hand tools. I am not sure what my obsession with using only hand tools was, but I enjoyed the process.

I keep telling myself I will make a forged razor with a fine finish, but my heart is not in it. I think I will stick to scruffy looking blades for a while longer.

I am really impressed by your work. The last few have been home runs IMO.

That is very cool! Handmade items appeal to me. I like the "scruffy" look. It looks like a manly artifact from days of yore. It has the same attractive quality of hammered appearance of the Robeson Shur Edge.

    Loved that blade.
When you see a blade like that it is no doubt it is used by a MAN

That has a lovely hewn look about it, similar to the 'tribal'. Does it have the balance of a one legged drunk though?
Plenty of time for a more polished look yet.
I've got to have the funds when you start selling!

No No No! it has the balance of a peg legged pirate on pay day. Seriously though, it is all handle. It is actually very maneuverable and comfortable to hold.

You don't have to live with them for long though. You'll have turned another one out within a fortnight & be using that instead! I can't wait to see the 'Flint Razor' crafted from rock & a stick!
Seriously though mate. You haven't done one yet that i haven't admired.

    I love this razor.

Charlie, I don't know how far you are planning to take you blade making, but if you are planning to sell then might I be so bold as to suggest that you DON'T CHANGE A THING.

You have found a niche that has not been catered to until now. Tribal, primitive, whatever you want to call the style, there are people who love it. And you, sir, have got it.

    Keep up the good work.
