I really love the shape of that filarmonica's scales! the way the center contours flow into the square end. I could never get lines like that. great work.

what determines if they get that third pin or not? I have one obviously that will need it, to keep it from swinging through the scales, (sliced the tip of my thumb open because I didn't realize that it was sticking out the bottom). is it always functional or sometimes aesthetic?

Max asked what material and design scales I wanted, and I said "I like the idea of a 3-pin style scale". He also asked what shape I would like them, and I gave him complete freedom to do what he thought would look good. His artistic eye and attention to detail shine through on all 3. He is right, the Henkels did go through a war!

I would also like to add that Max is a complete gentleman and a joy to do buisness with. He is also very fast ... this whole project was finished in about 2 weeks.

I will recomend him to anyone needing any work done to a razor.

I can't wait to get them!

    Default PERFECT!!!

I just got these in the mail today. Wow, they look so good in person! I will shave with the Filly tonight, as I've grown a decent beard just for this occasion!

Thank you Max! If anyone needs a reference I will gladly give one ... but I don't think there is any question about the quality of Max's work.

    Thanks again!

Those do look incredible! I've got a PM into Max as we speak to see if he's up for trying to save a Dubl Duck #1 that I picked up for pennies at a flea market along with a Boker Red Injun.

    Again, congrats, those look great!
