Thanked: 13245Robeson Shur-Edge in Wenge with lifted Bolsters
This is Chad's second razor, a Robeson Shur-Edge, I used the tumbler on this one for most of the cleanup, to save the etching... These blades have a very faint etch the says "The Razor that Fits Your Face" it will disappear with even light sandpaper so I only used the tumbler and some high grit polishing compound on a buffer to bring back the shine......
The original scales were cracked in half and Chad wanted to try and keep the original Bolsters so I lifted them off the old scales and refit them on the new scales made of Wenge....
I re-used the original lead wedge from the old scales and fashioned new brass pins to put this one back together....
10 coats of hand rubbed poly finish went on the Wenge, then I polished that with RenWax after....

I'm loving the scales! The wood and those bolsters look perfect together. Nice job on shining that razor up too, looks great.

That's one of the coolest looking restos I've seen in a long time, Glen. Very very nice.

Well done Glen. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this restore. The boy and girl kissing on the bottom bolster reminds me of model of F.W. Engles razor. I have a bunch of Robeson blades and am very pleased with each and every one.
