Manufactured By Wade & Butcher - Sheffield - Black Horn
Here's one of two rescale jobs.
It's a W&B which was send to me with just 2 requests. The first one was to clean the blade as much as possible but with retaining the razors original character and without looking like new. This meant no reground and just a good thorough cleanup job. The blade and tang inscription is still present but hard to capture in the pics.
The second request was actually a carte blanche as to scale material and design.
I decided on some black horn which polished up to marble looking shine. Hard to show in the pics but it's so classy, rich and slick looking.
Since the tang was pretty wide I was normally forced to use a third pin but decided against it so I used a tapered wedge instead. It nicely bends the scales outwards just by enough so the blade nicely falls in between and gives enough space for the wider tang.
The spine has a subtle smile and a barbers notch.
Enjoy!

Great looking work Max. The scales look great and it was a fantastic choice to use the horn and that wedge to contrast.

More specifically: Wow I like those black horn scales a lot!
I'm going to have to keep those in mind next time I send you a razor.

Now those scales are fantastic! I love the hint of mottling on the blade. They're a perfect match!
