Thanked: 13245Funny you should ask that exact question, as I just bought an 8/8 Friodur for myself also should be here at the end of the week... So I will be able to find that out...I am going to try out these two big blades for a few weeks and see if I can't get used to somthing over 6/8 in size...
I buy the oversize Acrylic pen-blanks then cut them into workable sizes, using a thin kerf carbide blade on my table saw... What is pretty cool is that depending on the cut, you can produce different designs...

Thanked: 13245Ben I have honed plenty of the 7/8 and 8/8 Friodurs but a quick test shave does not a judgement make.... Now I will say that to get those Friodurs to shave smoothly takes a little extra doing.... The Filly jumped right to smooth as silk first shave off the hones....
I will post the Friodur after I customize it, thinking Black and Silver acrylics on it.....
