Really nice work. I love those scales and the brass liners are especially nice. I recently tried that after seeing Seraphim's Double Arrows. I miserably failed so I know that isn't easy. Out of curiosity though, what did you finish the scales with? A ploy/stain combo or something else? Great work!

Here is what I used and the order I used it in.

    1. Minwax Red Sedona oil stain
    2. Circa 1850 Danish oil
    3. Wash Coat (Shellac)
    4. Thin CA (5 or so coats)
    5. Gap Filling CA (2 coats)
    6. Sanding 320, 600, 1000 grit, acetone wipe
    7. Minwax spray polyurethane, semi gloss
    8. Maas
