Dubl Duck's, Torrey, Engström, Simmons Hdwe
Here's a couple of classic razors I worked on lately and all have gone to their owners.
The two Dubl Ducks Satinedge and wedge were pretty damaged. I forgot to take a before pic of the satinwedge but took one of the satinedge .
Both were removed from the scales and ripped from all blemishes. The satinwedge a satin finish was requested and the satinedge a mirror polish.
The scales were all restored too with a final high buff.
The Torrey and Simmons Hdwe both got a nice makeover. They belonged to Ben's grandfather. The scale designs and wood were requested. Bolivian Rosewood and Wenge wood. The Torrey turned out stellar after my blade restore. The Simmons Hdwe still had some residual stains left which went to deep but was expected. Looking at the before pic it's a wonder it survived.
And last a Joh. Engström send to me from and back to Japan it went. The blade and scales both got my treatment. The scales are original and I had never seen a specimen like it. Like all Swedish blades this one took an extremely nice edge.
It's always so interesting to see all the different models and variations. When you think you've seen 'em all another one shows up.

Guess where my Grim Reaper is going when I have it restored? And my Fredrick's with the broken scale, and I'm sure there might be one or two more.
Max, you are just so damn good.

Every one a gem Max !!
Love those 421's - great shaversThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Incredible work, as per usual, Max!
Though, I have to say this many gorgeous razors in a single post borders on abuse!
