Thanked: 735English fern scales
What can I say?
I like EF.....
New England ferns under acrylic, over aluminum.
This was the first try, I had some air bubble issues during lamination. Next time it should be better.
Clear wedge. Oblique point, hollowed heel. No thumbnoth

It took me a while to see what the scales really were. I was thinking "english fern" what kind of material is that? The blade looks great and the scales are awesome. I saw some vintage clear scales the other day that had pictures under them. At the time I wondered if using prairie plants would work. Now I know it's possible. Thanks.

that's cool! and pinning is definitely the way to go, I think you should stick with that. Now I'm waiting to see what you think of putting under there next.

Great stuff!
What's going to keep them from discolouring? Will the acrylic do that?
This has so many possibilities. I know traveller does some interesting stuff, but you can add so much more!

With your love for EF, I knew it was only a matter of time until you paid tribute via scales. Very cool!

You know, you're joking and you're going to laugh at this, but little fish skeletons in there would be cool. hard work but cool.
