Kilowatt how many layers do you use to reach the thickness of a scale?

I am really impressed with how you made the one piece scales. That was an innovative idea to use a plug when pressing the micarta. The shape and size of the scales look perfect. Great work.

Nice Job ~ Blue Micarta Special for a Blue Steel Special. Me likes !

Thanked: 50I have a WB that has a piece out of the scales and I was considering going the one piece micarta route. Now that you have some milage on it, how is the single piece holding up? I'm not so concerned about scratches and such but rather stress cracks and soap scum, that sort of thing. Any sign of those? What would you have done different?
