Thanked: 13245LR Harner Semi-Custom Blank in Violet Acrylic
This belongs to my friend Al_Raz...
Butch Harner made some of these Semi-Custom blanks and Al had his sent out to me for some scales...
We had picked out two colors one was an Electric Blue and the other was this Opalescent Violet... I actually made scales in both colors and after 400 grit sanding I wet them down to see which was going to look better...
Well by far the Violet just came alive, it just kept getting better and better as I went higher in grit ... I finished out at 12,000 grit Micro-Mesh and then Novus 1-2-3 polish... I used NiAg pins and brass/SS/brass stacks for the washers and kept a bullseye look... The center pin is also NiAg but with a tiny #0 brass washer, Al wanted a more subtle look on this one, the wedge is Amethyst acrylic....
I can't wait to hone this one up so I can test shave it...

Nice job! I see that you dumped the microfasteners provided by Butch, I like your pinning work a lot.
It is good to know that there are at least two semi-customs from Butch in Boston. We should dedicate them a new razor club.

Thanked: 13245
These projects have been slowly getting closer and closer, but between cutting my thumb, getting the flu, and having to cover for people on vacation at work everything was just crawling...
I took Sun -Mon-Tues off and it is cold and wet outside so I have the woodstove in the shop going, and the woodstove in the house going and I am finishing up razors and feeling toasty

I do not really like it.....
I love it!!!!!!
It is simple yet classy, exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you Glen and Butch too for making this happen for me. I am truly grateful to both of you. I look forward to shaving with it. I think that people should jump on this incredible combination of blade and scales, make them both even busier. Disclaimer: I am also very fond of the work other custom makers and restorers and I hope to add some of their work to my humble collection in the future. Thanks guys, you are awesome!!!!!
Al raz.
