I just got a chance to shave with this razor for the first time today and it was oh so smooth. As far as Gssixgun's work honing this razor, it came so damn sharp I can feel my whiskers shaking in their follicles right now afraid to grow again. I also really like the page that came with the work describing the exact method used for honing the razors. This was my first honing service from him and I have to say; top notch service!
As requested, I have attached some close up pictures of the pins on this restore.
As for how I peen, I'm just as new and reading the same articles everyone else is. I have a 2oz peening hammer and brass rods from a hobby shop. I just try to be patient and try not to hit the direct center of the ball on the pin (I think similar to putting English on a cue ball). I work the hammer around the edge of the pin then up to wards center, then work my way back out. After a few rounds I'm done. Maybe my practice with the table spoon helped, I dunno. If I ever figure out any tricks to what I did right, you know I'll share it here.
The discolored spots on the pins is just reflection...

I only have a few restores under my belt so far, this one and two others but the other two are original scales...

I have two more I'm working on right now that are both rescales. Now that the holidays are over I should get more time at em.

Looks beautiful to me. I don't know anything about restoration work. The only thing I can do to a razor is remove rust using sandpaper aren't I a handy one?
