Haha, thats a great restore! I love those large Sheffields! One question - how do the brass liners affect the balance, or do they complement it as that blade is HEAVY!

Good observation and question. The blade is so heavy the balance point with the scales completely open is just a fraction of an inch into the end of the scales, almost where the end of the scale meets the shank of the blade. Handles nice while shaving and the weight is almost not noticeable. I like the balance where it is. Before the re-scale the blade dominated the balance.

That can be easily fixed by an online vendor. Got a few Monte #2's left and a box of Romeo y Juliet short Churchill's from the forbidden land to keep the other few hundred sticks company. Originally Posted by CarrieM
