I suppose the next step is to do some etching on the glass. Either acid or blasted could be really cool.

Dang, that would be bad a$$ to have an etched set of glass scales.

Well, they seem to hold their value pretty well. I held off trying one for a while, but I am glad I tried it.

Nice job Russell. If it's for the Greg I think it is, he is always thinking up the craziest stuff. Next thing you know he will want a Brush handle made of glass or Swarovski crystal to match this razor.

Thanks all, it was hard to pin, took forever because I didn't want to break it. I even took pics of it first before I tightened it and sent them to Greg and said 'Here it is before it breaks.' HAHA!!

Beautiful scales, Your a brave man i would be nervous as hell. i already have the constant knowledge if i drop her open i very likely could ruin her, now you've got to worry about dropping her anytime. Bawlsy material, i like it. very nice idea on the wedge as well. Congrats on a beautiful razor

You know I considered it, Bong.

Russell kicks butt. Excellent work with the silicone! What a great solution to the "flex" problem! Not just the first set of glass scales ever, but the first flexible wedge ever too! How innovative!

And for crying out loud, they're not going to break. Sheesh! They're not just glass, they're HercuGlass!

Anything is possible with imagination and the right skilled hands. Thanks for making this thing come together, Russell!!!

Anybody else wanna tell me something can't be done?

Try it on a good razor? Wapis are awesome, especially once rescaled. Ive got 2 and I reckon theyll outshave any Dovo.

Nice work, I didnt think this could be feasibly done when I read a post about such an idea about 6 months ago.

What is the balance like? Better or worse than original Wapienca scales?
