    Default Wapi in Glass...YES...Glass

I don't think this has ever been done before so, I thought most of you would get a kick out of it. Greg came up with this crazy idea to do scales in glass. I said it couldn't be done but he said he had someone make them and strengthen them. So I said I would give it a go to pin them up.

When I got them, I still thought they would break, but I still wanted to try. They do not flex AT ALL, so I thought of a little way to make sure they flexed. The wedge is in silicone rubber and there are more washers at the pivot end than normal scales to make sure the shank cleared the scales. Anyways, IT WORKED!!!

I hope they don't break in shipment.

(NOTE: I did not make the scales themselves and the wapi is as is, the way I got it, I just pinned it up and thought of the way to make them flex)

Here are the pics of the Crystal Wapi (The world's first razor you can clean with Windex):

If you've shaved with a Wapi and don't like it, send it my way. I am sure we can make out a fair trade. My honed like a champ and the 1/4 grind is great.

Indeed, I can't think of a single bad thing to say about mine.

The scales look great, that is a very innovative design. The pinning also looks top notch.

Dang, you caught me. I have yet to try a Wapi and I do like the lines of them. Adding it to the list which increases faster than I can try razors.
