Anyway, shaved with it! The point is something to be aware of! It's exactly how I wanted it. No nicks. Probably because I was exceptionally careful.
The blade itself is just under 3 1/4", with a long shank. It's 5 1/4" point to pivot. Both those measurements are significantly longer than the NOS 7/8 friodur that many of us have!
Originally I set the bevel with a DMT, then on to the coticule with thick slurry which I watered down gradually. Once it was just water, I did another 200 laps. The shave revealed that it just wasn't as keen as I'm used to, so it went to a BBW/slurry, then coticule/water, then Thuringian/water. It seems better, but I'll know better tomorrow when I've tried it.!
