Don't forget we will need to get a hold of one of the Purist Razors to compare it to as well.

As everyone else has pointed out it is a great looking razor.

I think I should make 'The Wannabist'.

Nice Josh! Hope Robert feels flattered.

    Josh,

I have doubts about that razor's shavability. Please send it to me instead for honing, test shaving, admirati . . . errrr ummm, administrative reviews, etc.

I few short months and I'm sure I would have some definitive praise on its shave-worthiness.

    Really nice work, Josh!

Like you said, imitation is the best form of flattery. Looking at your razor, I couldn't help but think... "Man, I wish I could make one."

Well, I definitely don't have the talent, but I do have some bare blades and, well, my son's erector set.

I think I will call it, "The Ghetto Shaver"

This pic was inspired by gugi...

I love it! You even got the obligatory balance shot in.

With my luck the lather would work its way into the tape, loosening the blade and causing catostrophic failure at a critical moment.

Thanks again to Robert for allowing me to to be the Microsoft to his Apple... (he wrote from his Windows 7 pc, while running listening to music on his Zune...)

I think a redesign with rubber bands is in order. You may have just saved me some bloodletting, Josh. I love this place.

Hmmm. May want to step it up to bailing wire. Rubber bands could yield under pressure, building tension until ... ssssCHING! Straight razor switchblade.

Well, in furtherance of my candidacy for test shaver, I do have a purist on its way to me sometime (hopefully) soon.

I have a couple bare blades at home. I marine epoxied some barely shaped half dowels around the tang of one last night...I see your "ghetto shaver" and raise you one neo-primitive possibly usable ugly-stick.
