Thanked: 522I also checked something else while I was at it. It still shaves like a dream which is an indication of better than average steel being used in its manufacture. It doesn't matter whether this is by design or by accident. This razor is a treasure that I will not offer for sale.

Thanked: 2I am the one who pm'd the request. I will add pics and opinion once my razor arrives. Thank you both, and may this become the landing page for others seeking information on Grevemeyers in the future.

This is a link with pics to a Barlow stamped with Grevemeyers and Germany. May speak to the origin of their imported blade.

Thanked: 884It could have been made by an American company for Grevemeyer, or it could have been "wash stamped" similar to a lot of the Chinese cutlery sold over here nowadays with old line cutlery Company names stamped into the blade and "CHINA" stamped onto the blade in black ink.
Great looking razor and nice save.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Thanked: 2Here is my new Grevemeyers which I purchased on E-bay this weekend. I cannot find any other examples of this Superior Quality model online yet. I did notice stamping on the box lid that say "Keystone Brand" and "Warrented" below that. This adds new information to the thread.

Thanked: 13Looking great. I think a vintage razor may have a few battle scars. As long as it is well cleanend and it shaves well, I think that is OK. Just my opinion.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing it well!
