    Zomax, those are really gorgeous.

    Both are. On the patina, do it your way - it's your sweat and creativity. Preference-wise, I like patina on blade in original scales - sort of a complete authenticity feel. Where the original has been changed, a full clean up looks more consistent w/ the (breathtaking) new scales.
