Boker in Gutta/horn
Here is a Boker Extra Hollow Ground that had, I think, a gutta percha scale in the front, with the logo, and some other scale in the back that was broken. It didn't look like the same material, nor was it horn. Not having a readily available source of GuttaPercha at hand I used Buffalo Horn to replace the back scale.
The blade was hand sanded from 600 grit to 2000. THe Horn scale was shaped by hand. The front scale was sanded at 2000 grit, then Mother's Aluminum polish. Both scales were finished on the buffer with a white rouge.
I had a fit getting the blade to center correctly, and made a wedge from Cascara, but I want to replace that when I get some scrap Acrylic, so I didn't peen, but used microfasteners. Also in the pictures is a coffin box I made from acid free cardstock, and covered with Parchment paper. I also lined the inside with felt.

Thanked: 9It's amazing what a little polish and sandpaper can do. (We don't talk about the hours of time you had to spend
).
Good work.

Nice job. The box is pretty cool too.
