    Default Clauss USMC

This is my first time working with G10 & my 3rd outing into restoration. The scales were broken (sorry, didn't get a pic as I threw them out as soon as I got it home).

    Before:

This is my first USMC blade and I thought I would go with a military theme. The G10 is Digital Camo with a hunter orange wedge. I got rid of the rust and decided that I wanted to do something different with this blade so keeping with the military theme, I cold blued it with Oxpho-blue.

    After:

I'm more than pleased with the results . I can't wait to get her honed up and give her a go.

Wow! that really makes a world of difference. I really enjoy the digital camo pattern, and the blueing looks nice too. Great job! I can say that currently serving in the USMC, i wish they would have issued something like that, unfortunately as straight shaving is a dying art, we only get Mach 3 disposables. Makes me upset, but i really think you did a great restoration. Any ideas on where i would find a vintage USMC blade like that?

Glen, this is a nice blade.
If I would get sometimes such a nice USMC-blade I'd rescale it with scales that have bottoms of .45 ACP cartridges.

    Well done, I like it.

Would be cool to have a unit insignia on the scales but I'm pretty sure mine would be unreadable when shrunk down that far

Great idea on the scales, love the wedge color lol

Nice work Glenn. Hope she shaves as good as she looks.

+1 I like the camo design and the Clauss is a very nice shaver.

    Thumbs up

    Glenn,
The USMC scales certainly give this razor the aura of "don't mess with the Marines"

Way to go you restorer you
