    i wonder how much of the constitution is original now. seems like they're always working on it. i was there one day when they were replacing the bulwarks and i picked up a piece of white oak. don't think i hung onto it though. the weirdest thing about visiting that ship is when you are on the lowest deck they allow you to go to, you can look down a ladder and see linoleum floors and fluorescent lighting. gotta be a whole different world that the crew knows down there. recently a bunch of brat yuppies who live quite close suggested that the cannon firing at noon be eliminated because it bothered them. dopes.
