Thread: "High Class" in Purpleheart

My boss found out several months ago about my straight razor addiction. He expressed some interest, and did a bit of reading on the internet. Shortly before Christmas, he told me that he would like me to select a good razor for a beginner and rescale it, hone it, give it "the works," and that he would trade me a suit for it. I had this great little razor-- full hollow, smile, invisible bevel-- that was basically NOS, but had two little stains and the cruddiest pair of factory scales I have ever seen.

He requested purpleheart, and let me tell you... 8 coats of buffed poly and this stuff is some of the prettiest wood I have ever seen!
