Shepherd Warranted stub tail
Shepherd Warranted. Widest part of the blade is 6/8. I'd guess it's got a couple hundred years of experience.
The scales are amber horn. I wasn't real sure what it would look like. It seems to be a blond horn that has been dyed.
Wedge is ivory colored acrylic with silver pins and ss washers.
I patterned the scales after the originals that were just hanging on.

Very unassuming. I love that look. Nothing too fancy to detract from the old blade. Very nicely done.

Robert Doyle lists two cutlers with Shepherd trademarks. Shepherd & Irving and John Shepherd ("Wolf") Both made razors prior to 1830 as well as 1830-1860.
Any before pics?
