Thanked: 1371I think it was four times that I sanded them up to 0000 steel wool and then buffed with white compound, only to rough sand them again. I couldn't make up my mind if they should be shiny or not. The finish I ended up with reminds me of aged horn.
If anyone has suggestions on finishing micarta, I am certainly open to feedback. As mentioned, this was my first time working with it.
I have not gotten to shave with it yet. Perhaps tomorrow night.

That blade looks so pretty open, and closed I see you matched the spine contour to the scales very good. Nice attention to details.
