Thanked: 1371Frederick Reynolds Faux Frameback - Full Custom
Frederick Reynolds faux-frameback: buffed out, and dressed in black linen micarta with nickel silver pins and domed washers over wide brass washers. The wedge is pre-ban ivory.
Thanks to Undream for sending some scrap micarta for me to play with, and thanks to spazola and BKratchmer for the pinning advice at the MN meet.
I learned a lot making this one. It's not 100% perfect, but I think it turned out ok.

Thanked: 317Very nice work. An FR faux frameback was one of my first restos, although it didn't turn out nearly as nice as this.

Thanked: 993HNSB - I think this turned out better than OK. How about "great" or "stellar"? I love the look of the scales, and your washers!

Very nice...it turned out fantastic . Don't know if the scales need a little polish or not. Nice pinning too.

Thanked: 13245I like it, and I think you did very well
I will give you the "Balance" shot warning too (love the Mag idea BTW)
if you continue doing those, you will be hanging under the Dingleberry Tree with Lee, Gugi, and me... But at least we're fun
(PM me if you don't understand that joke )
