I agree about the Trailer Queens! My Great Grandfather's razor was restored so it could be used and passed along to his decedents!

Just ran across this thread compliments of a link posted by Roy. That's some great work Glen. It looks fantastic, and I'm sure Conner is putting it to good use.
I'm in the minority with Michael on the "character" part. I don't feel a need for my razors to look perfect, just shave perfect. That said, I did a lot of work removing "character" from my truck when I restored it because that same character would spell the eventual end of my truck and I wanted to keep it around.
She's no trailer baby either...that's a daily driver. That's what she was made for, and in my mind the same goes for razors.

Very nice work Glen! I see and hear that you come highly recommended around here and I see why. I love what you've done with the heirloom. I'm fairly brand new at shaving with straights but I'm hooked. I'm trying to see if I can track down any blades from my ancestors but sadly no luck. It has come to my attention that I descend from the Clan Hunter in Scotland, county Donegal in Ireland, and Denmark. I thought maybe I'd settle for a blade from one those lands but so far I haven't found any info on any makers in those areas. Inspirational indeed!
Did I miss the post where Roy tells everyone that Connor is just loving his family razor ???
