As you can see the pitting was a bit deep, I cleaned and polished to the bottom of it, but I would have had to do a regrind to pull it out totally...

I'm glad the client elected to not have you regrind it, and keep the pits. I'm probably in the minority here, but when I see an old blade thats been buffed back to perfection, it seems like its somehow lost part of its soul.

I love the way this one looks- battle hardened- like it's "earned" our respect. Great job.

I love your idea of gifting this beauty to your son, but are you sure you won't be able to resist sneaking a shave with it before giving it to him? It may be quite difficult once you have it in your hands!

I think you mis-understand I didn't elect to re-grind only because of the rarity of a near wedge grind... If it had been a more common grind I would have re-ground it Just being honest here... It wasn't because of saving the "soul" (rust) or it "Battle Scars" (neglect) it was because of that beatiful heavy grind

Well Wat's restored W&B is here! OMG! She's more beautiful in person than she was in her pictures!! The feel in my hand is out of this world! The balance is perfect! I'm sure that Wat would have really loved the heftier scales

I was so excited that when the postman asked me to sign for the package, I made him watch while I opened it! He was impressed! I asked him if he had time to see what she looked like before and he said "OK!" He came inside and I pulled up the before/during and after pics! He couldn't believe the difference!

Connor's out of town for a JR_ROTC Drill meet and won't be back until Sunday afternoon! While I don't work until 11am on Sunday, I forced myself to use one of my other razors to shave with tonight so I could eliminate the temptation of using the W&B before Connor!

Again, I'm so happy with not only the finished project, but with working with Glen himself! I'm looking forward to meeting him in person at the meet in Spokane WA. I believe this September.

Great job! Love the scales.Sometimes the pitting is unavoidable.Im at the point where I've accepted the outcome of some of the flaws that cant be fixed.My main objective now is to have a nice shaving,usable razor.I used to keep my lookers as display pieces until my brother explained to me what a trailer queen was.Just in case someone doesn't know what a trailer queen is,it's a Hot Rod or Classic car that is hauled to all the car shows on a trailer and hardly never driven, whats the use of having it? I started treating my best razors with the same philosophy,now I use all my dispay razors once in a while.And even the ugly ones.Sorry to make this reply so long,but I just finished a Starbucks Grande Coffee with two extra shots of expresso.Again great job Glen.As always.
