    Default Heirloom Morley Clean-Up

A week or so ago I shared a couple heirloom razors of mine. My grandfather gave me this Morley and Sons which was his fathers razor but was unfortunately a bit rusty.

I've been slowly putting some work into this lately and I've settled at a point that I'm happy with. It still shows some pitting but I like this look. I'm in the process of formulating a rescale idea but for now the black celluloid will stay.

It is a great feeling to show my grandfather that my great-grandfather's razor has new life!

What a satisfying restore. It makes me smile, can't even imagine how you feel about it!

Yah. Must be awesome to have a family blade. Well done on the restore.
I know most people find black scales pretty ordinary but you can put a good shine on em & those look pretty serviceable... just till you decide on the rescale

That's awesome. My family isn't much for keepsakes, which is a bit sad. I think it's a great idea to be able to pass things down, which is why I'm starting them for my family (some of whom don't exist yet). It must be incredibly gratifying to show your grandfather that blade.
