Henckels 410 in red g10
Well this was my first time using G10, and it was a struggle for me, but Im glad I kept at it and I am pleased with the outcome. I use a 3 inch scroll saw so I took it extremely slow and was able to get threw it a few blades later.
I stopped with the sanding at 2000 then took it to white rouge, however I think i might use micromesh to get some more shine out of it.
The design was going to be modeled after the red imp design but changed a bit when i started wet sanding.
Blade was in great shape just took it threw the rouges and off went the red enamel . I will be putting it back on today I think. Pins are stainless with stacked washers of brass and nickel. Wedge is burgundy linen micarta.
Thanks for looking !!!

Thanked: 1263That turned out quite nice indeed! The G10 can be a bugger..I cut mine on an old diamond blade wet tile saw and then sand to shape and that seems to work well...i've heard it eats other blades...lol. The end result is worth it though and yours looks great. Congrats!

Great job; my hope is to refurbish a vintage razor, as you did, some year soon.

Great job! I can appreciate the work on this. Maybe a bit longish above the top pin for my taste, but if it shaves well, good to go. I really like the squared, classic look and the collars are nice! Kudos! Some red in those tang stamps would be cool!

The wedge is a nice color contrast. Like you found out, the g10 takes a out sanding; like you found out its addictive causing you to look forward to the next, lol. Nice job
