Scales for the wife's razor!!!
Been shaving the wife for over a year now and after seeing some of my recent rescales, she asked me the other day to rescale her razor....SURE!!!! When I asked her what she wanted, she said, 'something purple'
PURPLE?!?!?!
Had no idea to find the purple she wanted so it was off to Office Depot in hopes to find a purple clipboard or somesuch to transform into a nice set of scales for the beloved.
Scales are a purple clipboard on a reground Joseph Elliot 4/8 wedge. Recon stone and brass round out the build. Not my favorite set of scales, but sure likes them!

I never even thought to buy clipboards for scales. Man I love this site!

I love the use of clipboard for scales. Interesting materials win over plain black plastic or horn for me.

Yep...Office Depot has quite an assortment of acrylic clipboards that fit the bill if you want to source locally, Office Depot Brand Clipboard 9 x 12 Assorted Colors No Color Choice by Office Depot On top of having the purple, pink, and yellow, they have more manly clear, black, and smoke acrylics. They're on sale right now for under the website costs.
